Use of This Website

This website is provided for the purpose of learning about our services and requesting a consultation. You agree not to misuse the site, attempt to access it by unauthorized means, or interfere with its normal operation.

Service Engagements

Submitting a consultation request does not create a binding service agreement. A specific engagement begins only once both parties have agreed to a written scope of work, including pricing, timeline, and deliverables.

Intellectual Property & Authorship

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, clients retain full ownership and public credit as author for any manuscript or material produced as part of a ghostwriting or editing engagement, subject to the terms of the specific service agreement.

Confidentiality

We treat client projects as confidential and can execute a mutual non-disclosure agreement before an engagement begins. Details of an active engagement will not be shared publicly without the client's consent.

Payment & Cancellation

Payment terms, including deposits and milestone billing, are set out in each engagement's written agreement. Cancellation terms, including any non-refundable amounts, will also be specified in that agreement.

Disclaimer

While we work to help every client achieve their publishing goals, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes such as securing a literary agent, a publishing deal, or bestseller status.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Story & Sterling is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website or our services.

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “last updated” date at the top of this page.
